Among the hardest hit organizations by today’s challenging economic times are Non-Profit Organizations.  As individuals and companies struggle to survive, charitable contributions and donations, the financial lifeline of most Non-Profits, are being dramatically cut back.

Non-Profits make a difference

Non-Profit Organizations are widely known for their helping hand by supporting wonderful causes for our communities.  The classic example is George Mark Children’s House, the first and only pediatric palliative care facility in the United States.

For over five years, this national Non-Profit has provided palliative care for children with lifespan-limiting illnesses and their families.  This special helping hand is offered at no cost to the families.  George Mark is named after the two brothers of Co-Founder, Kathy Hull, both of whom died at an early age.

Angels really do exist…and appear

As with many Non-Profits today, George Mark is facing financial challenges as they work hard to provide the quality of unique and special care to children and their families.  Dr. Barbara Beech, co-founder of George Mark, who is the eternal optimist who refuses to give up on her mission said, “I just know an Angel is going to walk through those doors soon.”   The irony is that after over 30 years of selflessly loving and caring for these children and their families in need, Barbara is one of the many Angels of George Mark.

George Mark is the first free-standing Non-Profit Children’s House in the U.S.,  providing palliative care for children with lifetime limiting abilities…at no cost to their families.

FuneralResources.com is proud to join in the support of this wonderful cause.  As a current Member of the National Funeral Director Asssociation’s Partners Program, which is the largest Funeral Association in the world, we have been able to utilize our vast array of resources and partnerships.  We have done everything we can to support George Mark, such as assisting in the creation of powerful and healing DVD Video Tributes, calling on the entire the funeral industry for support, and recently asked for the funeral industry’s support for George Mark during a Presentation at the NFDA Convention in Boston, which is the largest annual gathering for the funeral industry.

With this amazing story, it’s easy to understand why we are not the only ones who recognize the George Mark’s amazing contributions, as well as their need for financial support from America.  There has also been great support from major Celebrities, Musical Artists, and even targeted songs produced for George Mark.  Also, we are proud to say their supporting cast is growing stronger every day thanks to so many different groups of people and companies.
